Redesign of one of my favorite novels by Murakami. I especially liked the many individual story lines that gradually connect with each other and often lose themselves in an unreality. So I decided to design a cover that hides a lot of little clues that should reveal themselves little by little as you read. When reading a book, I often anticipate the moment when the scene on the cover will finally happen. That's why I wanted to create as many of those moments as possible. Additionally, I liked having the wind-up bird watch over the scene as a menacing shadow, much like he does in the book.
